2021 IROS Industrial Forum:  Focus on Food, Farm to Fork

Monday, 27 September 2021 from 9:00-11:00am US Eastern time

No industry is more fundamental than food production, and like much of society we are seeing disruption of this vital sector with the arrival of new robotics and automation technology. New approaches, products, services and distribution methods are being pioneered by large and small companies, looking to apply modern automation and robotics technology to gain a competitive edge. This will be the first in a series of IEEE RAS forums to focus on the breadth of the food enterprise, including farming (bulk crops, vegetables and orchards), meat production (ranching, meat plants, dairy and distribution), and the differing needs of restaurants, grocers and the emerging online food delivery industry.

Talks will include a discussion of the technology, recent changes in consumer demands, and societal needs for food distribution. Please join us and share your questions with the panel.
